DCCC Names Congressman Dan Kildee as Chairman of Frontline Program
February 3, 2015
WASHINGTON – The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) announced today that Congressman Dan Kildee has been named the chairman of its Frontline Program to help protect vulnerable Democratic incumbents.
This is the second leadership role announced for Congressman Kildee in recent weeks. Last month, House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi and Congressman Steve Israel named Congressman Kildee to the Democratic Policy and Communications Committee, where he will be in charge of developing Caucus-wide messaging and leading and managing day-to-day floor messaging and strategy efforts.
“Dan Kildee has been helping his fellow Democrats since before he even got to Congress and we’re thrilled to have him leading our Frontline program,” said DCCC Chairman Ben Ray Lujan. “You don’t add by subtracting, that’s why having Dan Kildee join our team and work to protect our Democratic incumbents is such an important piece of our strategy to make gains this cycle.”
“Democrats are fighting for middle class families and their priorities – bigger pay checks, access to child care and making college affordable. We are fighting to ensure that those who work hard and play by the rules have an opportunity to succeed in America,” Congressman Kildee said. “Over the next two years, I will work tirelessly to make sure that Democratic Members have the necessary resources to best compete and win so they can continue to fight for American families in Congress.”
The DCCC Frontline Program is a partnership between the DCCC and Members to lay the groundwork for the 2016 cycle by supporting and expanding their fundraising and outreach operations. To learn more, visit www.dccc.org.
